We’re writing because the temperature in Ottawa has been dropping rapidly over the past few days. There is an important action you must take as soon as possible:
Ensure all windows in your apartment are fully closed and locked. There should be no open windows in the apartment during the winter months. Every window should be fully closed and locked at all times during the winter months. This includes the kitchen windows. If you are cooking, please use the over-stove fanhood.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us back via email or phone. Failure to follow these steps will result in water pipes freezing in your apartment, which could result in a flood. If you are feeling too hot, please let us know so we can calibrate your heating (instead of opening the window).
